There is an English word whose meaning is: the meaning of the word is known but the word is not known.
well...I do not remember the word!!
__________
There are certain things in life that you can neither categorise as permission nor information. It is something like the side indicators used by drivers to take a right or a left turn.
______________
I saw the hoarding of a Fitness studio and how ironical can one get... The letters were all out of shape!!

I would work in the same place as some XYZ does and would have seen him/her a lot many number of times. But it would obviously look funny to smile at XYZ. But on any given day I see XYZ somewhere outside the campus. We recognize each other and smile. The next day I see XYZ in the campus and we smile. But I am sure, if yesterday’s incident had never happened we would still be strangers.

hey the last one really makes one think abt how weird relationships can be and how weirdly can they start...
ha ha ha...good one this..! enjoyed... :)
shantanu - yeah its true - have always wondered there are so many things that are out of our control - but there are always these small events that give a big twist to our lives...
sriram - thanks for the comment! - happy tht u njoyed it! :-)
jagan - thanks - the indicator is a really nice one - this thot came up whn i was confounded by the reaction showed by a set of ppl and it so happened that i was thinkin abt it whn i was riding my bike. the situation was so apt to this vehicle side-indicator philosophy...
jagan - all the thoughts are from my own little brain - All Rights Reserved ;-)
think i shud change the title....ummm.. :-)
Nice collection.
Will give you the nice stuff first:
I liked the last one. It happens so often that your words made it stand out and made me go "Yeah. So true." But why does that happen? I suppose its the same reason that we would notice a mascot within office premises eagerly than at a posh shopping mall.
Wasn't an indicator supposed to be information? Like the signal lights. It can turn green but you can continue to stay behind the lines! I was of the understanding that an indicator was information that "I am taking a turn soon"
Heard the 3rd one before although I don't question you arriving at the same observation independantly!! :-)
Nice bundle, and the way you ended your title "that I thot about"....
:-))
Eroteme - Thanks for the comments!! -- I suppose its the same reason that we would notice a mascot within office premises eagerly than at a posh shopping mall.-- r u in any case referrin to the 'lady in rust'? ;-) - didnt quite get u.
And - reg ur indicator question - atleast in Chennai (am not sure if it is the same in India) indicator cannot be passed to jus be an information - here even if u switch on ur indicators - ppl wud jus breeze past u - so i feel it is either the case of 'neither a permission nor information' or 'cud be both'.
-- Like the signal lights. It can turn green but you can continue to stay behind the lines!-- did u actually try doin this on our roads? - u shud be grateful to God that u r still alive ;-)
The third one - yeah i noticed this recently when i was travellin in the bus. and i was so enthralled havin made tht observation - in fact i told meera abt it.
The title was originally 'A few interesting things...that i noticed' but then from jagan's comment i came to a conclusion tht ppl mistook the statements on this post to be somebody else's creation. - so i changed the title. :-)
Naaah. Not the rusty lady!! We recently had a mascot (a guy dressed up like a giant sized Noddy) walk through our office's maze and everyone stood up to look. In a shopping mall with nearly one per shop you don't notice these things (most people don't, kids do, but kids are a different specie altogether, and the best ones around). Similarly, a face in office or in college might go unacknowledged but when seen at a place outside these premises. Maybe the element of surprise provides necessary grounds for stepping outside our shell. Like talking to any Indian on the streets of NY... That is what I meant.
Exactly, information can be ignored, but it doesn't cease to be so as soon as it is neglected!! Not just in Madras (humour me and call it that and not Chennai). Often when I turn my car into my gateway (after turning on the indicator) I would have some slimey two-wheeler want to squeeze into the space between my bumper and the pavement; either he ends up climbing that or my car!!
I don't do that at the signal lights :-O thought I suddenly realised that it would be cool to do that. I think I will try it tomorrow at a clover-leaf junction nearby!! Thanks for the idea!
I saw it when the title was still unchanged and wondered whether the "that I noticed" was added in a last minute urge to establish authenticity!!! :-))
Who Meera? I don't know any Meera!
Renu ...ur rocking yaar, esp. the last one was amazing that is about the "
XYZ..".I had experinced this many times in my life...keep blogging buddy...
eroteme - ur original 'mascot' comment per se is quite explanatory. wonder how i possibly missed it - may be its bcos i think ur comment is too hi-fi to crack - anyway i shall be careful from now on.
u r bang on target et.(thts the short form of ur name - the start of the two syllables)! wrt the purpose of 'that i noticed' :-) cool!!!
WHO MEERA?? umm... wht to say...
citrus - thanks for the encouragement!! it makes a lot of difference :-)
